Castel del Lupo, in the heart of Oltrepò Pavese, dates back centuries - and includes the eighteenth-century Palazzo Pegazzera. In 1974 three entrepreneurs took over this historic estate and began a regeneration process. Bonarda is known as 'Croatina' in the Oltrepo Pavese region.
Castel del Lupo Bonarda 'La Gioiosa' wine has aromas of ripe cherry lead to a vibrant palate of sweet plum fruit and pure black cherry notes balanced by fresh acidity, youthful tannins and notes of black pepper. A good match with sea fish, such as sea bass.
