At the foot of the famous hill of Hermitage, the Cave de Tain co-operative produces five appellation d'origine contrôlée wines: Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, St-Joseph, Cornas and St-Péray. The Cave has established an enviable reputation for authentic wines that express the full character of their individual terroirs, thanks to careful and non-intrusive vinification methods. Over the years, traditional techniques have been enhanced by the latest developments in modern winemaking.

Tain Cornas ‘Les Arènes Sauvages’ is a serious bottle of wine with plenty of structure and shape but also with plenty of plush fruit to justify it. Deep dark red with an intense nose of raspberries, spice and a hint of graphite. The palate has more black fruits (blackberry and cherry), pepper and toast. The wine is clean and bright, with a silky mouthfeel and good length, which reveals an elegant finish. Approachable but evident tannins, you can drink this now or even age it for a bit. Excellent with gamey red meats, mature hard cheeses or dark chocolate.

Please note: All case wine orders can take between 7-10 days for delivery.
