Françoise Feuillat-Juillot was born into wine. Growing up at the highly regarded Domaine Michel Juillot in Mercurey she immersed herself in all aspects of winemaking from a young age (literally immersing herself, rather terrifyingly she once fell into a vat!)
Domaine Feuillat-Juillot's Montagny 1er Cru Les Jardins wine is testament to both Francoise's wine ancestry and her modern education. Her deep understanding of the terroir of Montagny means she can bring out Chardonnay's expressive side; mature 20 year-old vines on marl and limestone make for an elegant, concentrated, fresh wine full of white peaches, apricots and honeysuckle. Elegant, beautifully balanced Montagny. An expressive nose of delicate yellow fruits with a touch of honey. The palate is precise, supple and savoury. Best served with lighter foods to allow the sunny fruit to shine.
