Domaine du Pré Semelé 'Les Chasseignes' Sancerre is a beautiful, refined, single vineyard Sancerre. The nose is delicate and floral, quite primary and not overtly herbaceous. The palate is extremely refined and has a pure minerality with zingy fresh clean lemon and hints of a summer herbs. Lighter and not as rich as the 2010 but characteristic of the vintage, this expertly made wine is fresh and well-balanced. Give this wine a try with fresh salad with goats cheese, seafood and asparagus rissotto.
