No-nonsense, very approachable Claret with more fruit than many at this price.
From grapes grown on clay/limestone hillsides. Grapes are vinified 'traditionally' in temperature controlled stainless tanks at between 28 and 30 degrees respectively for about 15 days with a 7 day maceration, resulting in youthful colour and intensity. The wine is unoaked.
Warm fruity tones of Merlot are intertwined with the typically fresh 'leafy' Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc. The dry medium bodied palate has some weight in the finish and tannins to give it longevity.
Good with grilled red meats, roast chicken, lamb cutlets.
