Fun fact. Our best selling gin isn't actually a gin, it's a liqueur. Edinburgh Gin Rhubarb Liqueur if you're wondering. We have to admit it is good, so we see why. But if EG Rhubarb Liqueur is good, then this Rhubarb and Cranberry offering from Zymurgorium reaches greatness. OK, we know it's more expensive than EG's equivalent, but trust us, in this instance you get what you pay for.
So why is it so much better we hear you ask?! Well this is a lovely balance of tart, sweet, botanical flavour and alcohol strength using Rhubarb grown on Zymurgorium's own land and is a constant competition winner year-after-year. But we think it's the Cranberries that make this special. Oh, that and the honey mead base spirit they use in the Gin. The alchemy that goes into the Zymugorium gin is astounding as they distill the mead based spirit with British juniper and over 20 other botanicals to produce a gin with a refreshing, slightly tart taste that is perfect for this liqueur. Our big tip for a perfect serve on this is use Prosecco instead of tonic and garnish with a single mint leaf and a couple of fresh cranberries (if you can get them), or a raspberry if not.
