Chateau Lanessan Haut-Medoc 2008
This product is currently sold out.
Chateau Lanessan is situated at the intersection of St Julien and Haut Medoc and the production is a traditional Bordeaux style, given that the estate is planted 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot with a smattering of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. The property narrowly missed out on the ‘Grand Cru Classé’ classification as they did not submit any samples to the Bordeaux Wine Classification of 1855, and as a result produce stellar wines of Grand Cru quality for a fraction of the price. The 2008 has earthy, tobacco leaf notes which underline and complement the central flavours of dark fruit and cassis. A perfect pairing for classic steaks, veal, or venison.
Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot
