The family-owned winery of Villa Raiano was established in 1996, in the village of Raiano, Campania. In 2009 a new winery was built - on top of a hill amongst vineyards and chestnut woods, overlooking the River Sabato near San Michele di Serino in the Southern Apennines.
One of Italy’s finest white grape varieties believed to have originated in Greece. Its style belies its southern origin - taut, mineral and concentrated. Possibly unrivalled among southern Italian white grape varieties for quality. Villa Raiano are a relatively new producer, yet rapidly proving themselves to be one of Greco's finest exponents.
Villa Raiano Greco di Tufo wine has delicate aromas of white flower and annis with lime citrus notes. Crisp, zesty green apple fruit on the palate with notes of greengage. Pithy and mineral, with a mouth-watering saline bite. Just perfect with risottos and seafood.
