Keith Tulloch Semillon, Hunter Valley is a signature Aussie wine from one of the great Semillon producers.
Our Semillon is harvested from old vines planted on their own roots in 1968 at Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley. It is this deep and fine alluvial sandiness that makes the vineyard resource so significant – the vines consistently produce the purest and brightest signatures of Hunter Semillon. The Semillon was harvested then crushed, chilled and pressed immediately. Fermentation occurred using a selected pure yeast culture in stainless steel tanks, at cool to cold temperatures to maximise and retain varietal freshness.
The Estate Semillon is sourced exclusively from Keith's own 50 year old unirrigated vines in his Hunter Valley vineyard at Hermitage Road in Pokolbin. It beams with sensational intensity of zesty lemon and lime-fruit plus fine dlicate perfumes and flavours of fresh cut lemongrass, white-flower, guava and fejoa. This gives the wine a citrus-zing energy, refined flavours, powder-like silkiness and wonderful length - all the hallmarks of this classic Hunter style and qualities that define its pedigree and potential.
