The Boutinot 'La Cote Sauvage', produced in Cairanne Cotes du Rhone Villages is a beautiful rich, savoury and meaty mouthfull! A serious, restrained and complex wine that is nowhere near its peak yet. It is rich, intense and drenched in dark red fruits. With morello cherry and a touch of sweet spice on the nose, ripe berry, liquorice, chocolate, summer pudding and a hint of cinnamon spice on the palate, this wine is full flavoured and smooth with supple tannins. If you are planning on purchasing a bottle of this for drinking now, then take our advice, buy two and lie the other one down for 4 to 6 years and it will be absolutely magnificent. But whenever you decide to pop the cork on the La Cote Sauvage, it's a perfect match for red meat dishes and rich stews.
