Wow, this wine is incredible. A blend of Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon from Elgin and made by the most passionate, talented winemaker we've ever met, Pieter H Walser. Like all of Pieter’s wines, BLANKbottle Dok holds quite a story. After the annual vintners "surf classic" competition, Pieter shared a bottle of wine with a fellow surfer/farmer – Dok Gary Van Wyk. He happens to be the owner of the vines from where the grapes came from. Pieter loved it so much he started making wine from the same vines and named the wine after his new friend. The three vineyards are small and grow on top of a mountainous outcrop in red rocky clay soil. This white blend represents the stony crags of valley road. Lively and inviting blend – dried tropical fruits, tangerine and warm spice. Full bodied but retains excellent acidity, with a real fresh feel. This is an incredible wine for goats cheese salads or anything spicy with tomatoes like a Chicken Rogan Josh. Unfortunately this will be the last ever BLANKbottle Bok vintage ever produced as Peiter's friend and fellow surfer, Dr "Dok" Gary has now sold his farm and the new owners have other plans for the grapes. So this is your last chance to buy this incredible wine.
