La Báscula is the name given to the Spanish wine range produced by Ed Adams (MW) and South African winemaker Bruce Jack. The term itself means weighing scales, and represents the balance between indigenous Spanish varieties and modern winemaking.

‘Casta Diva’ Moscatel, Alicante is one of Spain's most iconic sweet wines - a passito-style moscatel. The wine is largely unfiltered, using only a 'rock-catcher' to remove large particles - so may throw a protein haze in the bottle. The nose is aromatic and floral and lightly herbal with notes of liquorice root. A complex and richly-flavoured wine characterised by orange peel, nectarine, honey, spices, and great length. A fantastic dessert wine and a great match with blue cheeses ... or cheesecake!
