Le Soif de Vincent translates into English as "The thirst of Vincent" and is a statement said to reflect the passion of the winemaker to make a truly beautiful, fruit filled wine. We have to agree it's a gorgeous Côtes de Bourg Bordeaux that finds its authenticity in an explosion of fruits. The aromas of red fruit - raspberry, strawberry, cherry - harmonise with sweet tones of peach, mango, and litchie. Malbec brings more floral notes of violets and wildflowers with a touch of saffron. On the palate, La Soif de Vincent is an astonishing wine that just tastes of freshness and red berry. Despite it's simplicity it doesn't feel like a rustic every day drinker - it's definitely more refined that that, which is definitely apparent in the amazingly complex length. This was a real surprise for us when we stumbled across the vineyard on a business trip. We weren't looking for any more Bordeaux wines, but we couldn't resist Vincent's charms and decided we needed to import it. This is a superb summer wine and will happily pair with salads and cheeses.
