A delicious, relatively rare and 'precious' style of Vouvray.
The winemaker selected this wine from a grower with whom we have worked for many years, and gave it the name 'Cher et Tendre' ('precious or 'treasure') as it's a relatively rare and precious style of Vouvray. 'Tendre' because it captures the smooth, round and rich flavours of fully ripe and delicately perfumed Chenin Blanc but with 10gm/rs is no longer classified 'Sec'.
Classic, concentrated Chenin fruit with lovely aromatics and earthy apple notes, a finely textured palate and a long, sweet citrus finish. Just off-dry and beautifully balanced.
A streak of minerality which runs through the finish matches the wine seamlessly to creamy chicken dishes, gently spicy Asian cuisines or a crisp mixed salad.
