A seductive expression of Barbera which combines all the charm of the healthy Paso fruit with the honest Italian interpretation of Brian Terrizzi.
Filled with zest and juiciness, Barbera satisfies much of northern Italy's thirst for a delicious daily drinker. This wine is sourced from two vineyards - one a 2.5 acre parcel in the hilly new Paso Robles Creston district AVA, and the other in Shandon. The wine was naturally fermented and matured in a 1000 litre Garbellotto cask and some old barrels.
A pretty and lifted nose of crushed red cherry fruit and gentle violet flora. The palate is silky with medium body and great purity of cranberry and red cherry fruits with a savoury almond note adding complexity. The finish is fresh, juicy and vital.
This wine is perfect for pan fried tuna, sashimi and seared summer vegetables.
