Cantine Nicosia is based in the Etna region, on the east coast of Sicily, where Carmelo Nicosia, along with sons Franceso and Graziano (5th generation), have developed their family business into one of Etna's most important wine producers. Their Trecastagni winery, at the foot of one of the extinguished craters dotting Mount Etna, is where tradition meets ultra-modern technology.

A great introduction to one of southern Italy's most enigmatic and fashionable, quality reds Nicosia Etna Rosso wine has lifted, perfumed aromas of red berry and ripe red cherry fruit characters, with lightly spicy, smoky notes. The palate is firm yet fresh with bitter cherry, wild strawberry fruit and balancing acidity. An elegant red with a sappy finish. A lovely wine to enjoy with simple meatballs and tomato pasta dishes or if you get the chance try with Crispelle (Sicilian street food) - croquettes made with ricotta and anchovy.
