Forget any preconceptions - this is Retsina as it should be! Papagiannakos Retsina from Attika in Greece has woody, herbal notes of rosemary and thyme aromas. On the palate the characteristic pine flavours come through, yet they work with the Savatiano base to retain fresh, lemon citrus flavours. The resiny flavour jumps out at you suddenly..... until that moment, for a few brief seconds, you could be drinking a particularly zippy Sauvignon. But this is so much more fun. A complex wine with balancing acidity. Drink with fried fish and chips, or grilled lamb!
