In 1930 Giuseppe Manfredi purchased vineyards and a farmhouse in Langhe and began to make wine. His family followed in his footsteps, and today the winery is owned and run by Aldo Manfredi and his daughters - who have brought the estate up to date with modern technology and production techniques. Set in the beautiful rolling hills of the Langhe valley, the Manfredi family produce and source high quality Barbera d'Alba, Barolo and Gavi di Gavi. They also have 20 hectares of prime Dolcetto at their Bricco Rosso estate in Dogliani.

Patrizi Barbera d'Alba wine is a vibrant, fruit forward Barbera from Alba. This region tends to produce a food-friendly style with slightly more structure and sappy than Barbera d'Asti. A vibrant, ruby-red wine with intense aromas of fresh, juicy fruit, such as ripe plum and Morello cherries. Some nice developing spicy notes, with bright blueberries and plum on the palate. A dry, medium bodied wine with balanced acidity on the finish. Wil go down a treat with a thin crust pizza topped with pepperoni or salami and heartier vegetables such as courgette and artichoke.
