Quinta da Terrugem 2013 (6 Bottle Case)
This product is currently sold out.
Quinta da Terrugem is a modern Portuguese red that still holds onto all the flavour of the classic indigenous varietals. The hand-picked grapes are sourced from Alianca's own estate in the Alentejo region in the south-east, not far from the Spanish border. Here low yielding, old vines are tended traditionally planted in clay soils. Very limited production.
A deep garnet colour with defined cassis and herbal notes on the nose. A complex and powerful palate with layers of blackberry, liquorice, spice, aniseed and mocha. Tightly-knit tannins lead to an intense and concentrated finish. Drink with lamb stew, roast pork or slow-cooked ratatouille drenched in fruity olive oil.
Grapes: Trincadeira Preta 40%, Aragonês 40%, Cabernet Sauvignon 20%
