Rafael Cambra Uno Red - this wine is a bit of an animal – in the best possible way. Made from 100% old vine Monastrell, this is dark, brooding and opaque– a serious red meat wine.

There is some primary fruit there, but it hides amongst the dark, brooding leather, coffee and spice, backed up by some beguiling tannins. Virtually opaque, this is a serious red meat wine. Decant up to an hour before where possible.

Grapes are sourced from 55 year old ungrafted Monsatrell vines are planted on clay soils with low yields. Altitude is 800 m above sea level and climate is Mediterranean.

The grapes are hand-picked and fermented in small, 1000 litre stainless steel tanks with pigeage. Wine ages for 14 months in French oak barrels, 20% of which are new. Bottled without fining or filtration.

This wine is suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
