A much-acclaimed winery in the heart of the Veneto run by Tommaso Bussola, his wife Danielle and their sons Paolo and Giuseppe. The story of Tommaso Bussola begins in Valpolicella in 1977, the year Tommaso began working at the small wine estate of his uncle Giuseppe. Tommaso faithfully followed in the footsteps of the traditionalists, respecting the time-honoured practices of barrel aging – barrels which were used and re-used many times over the years. His drive to continually improve quality at the winery led to his first solo vinification in 1983 - and he began to personally look after the selection of grapes destined for the production of Amarone and Recioto. The new wines were baptised with the label "TB" (his initials) and the innovative style we enjoy today was born.

TB Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Vigneto Alto wine is a fine and classic Amarone of great pedigree and almost endless complexity. A nose of baked red fruits, damson and cherry compote. Opulent and complex on the palate with sweet vanilla, plums, dried fruit, and spice with hints of caramel, coffee and liquorice. An elegant drier style of Amarone, with fine tannins and a mocha finish. Just wonderful with pink lamb and duck in rich sauce. Get your friends round and enjoy!
