La Báscula is the name given to the Spanish wine range produced by Ed Adams (MW) and South African winemaker Bruce Jack. The term itself means weighing scales, and represents the balance between indigenous Spanish varieties and modern winemaking.
‘Turret Fields’ Monastrell Shiraz, Jumilla wine's name comes from the turret of Castle Madax - which dominates the vineyard of the same name. A characteristically rich and powerful Monastrell-based red. Deeply perfumed with powerful aromas of black cherry, damson, liquorice and spice. The palate is abundant with juicy fruit, more spice - and balanced by soft yet structured tannins leading to a full and appealing finish. Drink with grilled or roast pork dishes, or hearty sausages.
