Every time we see the price of this wine, we have to do a double check, we're sure we've got it wrong. We've bought worst wines than this at more than double the price. It's a real bargain, and had it been a Rioja Tempranillo, you can guarantee it would be commanding £20 a bottle. Vilano Tempranillo from Bodegas Vinas del Cenit is a seductive and compelling red from Zamora - made from some of the oldest, pre-phylloxera, Tempranillo vines to be found in Spain. Open the bottle and you are welcomed with aromas of bramble fruit and spice. The ripe and opulent palate has black, forest fruit characters, with smoky notes, cinnamon and spice. Smooth, balanced tannins and a full ripe finish. This is a great wine to pair with roast lamb dishes, chorizo or full-flavoured pasta dishes.
