Vina Luparia La Burla

Vina Luparia wines all feature illustrations of famous tales and stories featuring wolves. This one is about the boy who cried Wolf. I think this may be more about his heard of sheep than the wolf in the story as there is absolutely nothing aggressive about this wine at all. La Burla is a beautiful, gentle floral white wine made from Airen grapes. Airen is one of the most abundant grape varieties in Spain but for some reason not much of it makes it out of the country in it's purist form like this. Ah, maybe that's the link with the story... not may of Peter's sheep in the story make it out either! Soft and simple fruity flavours are a hallmark of this wine. Straw-coloured, it is a light wine with gentle aromas of citrus fruits and white flowers. There is no doubt this is a wine made to be drunk cold and in the sunshine. If you haven't tried Airen grapes before, this is well worth an investment.
