Vulka Etna Rosso (6 Bottle case)
Is there a more dynamic place to make wine in Italy than Sicily's Mount Etna? How amazing! Cantine Nicosia is based in the Etna region, on the east coast of Sicily, where Carmelo Nicosia, along with sons Franceso and Graziano (5th generation), have developed their family business into one of Etna's most important wine producers. Their Trecastagni winery, at the foot of one of the extinguished craters dotting Mount Etna, is where tradition meets ultra-modern technology.
Vulkà Etna Rosso wine is an excellent example of impressive quality at a moderate price. Rich aromas of red berry and spice with underlying violet notes. The palate is delicate yet complex - tannins give good structure and depth, layered with plum and bramble fruit characters, savoury hints and a touch of pepper. Ideal with tasty pasta dishes, roasted meats and semi-aged cheeses, but it is also a good partner for flavourful seafood dishes.
