Circumstance Cabernet Sauvignon is a complex mix of blackcurrants, plum, spice and cedar wood flavours. Sweet, ripe fruit on the palate. The fine tannins allow for a savoury and satisfying finish. A real quality Cab Sauv. We were blown away by this wine when we tasted it for the first time, so much so, The Jones family often have this at family meals.

Produced from the windswept, low-yielding slopes of The Schapenberg. Strong winds churn up the vineyards regularly. This allows for low production and intense flavors. The vineyards are about 5 kilometers from the sea, and are planted at a height of between 270 and 300 meters above sea level. The soils are of granitic origin, with fine sand/loam topsoil and clay dominating the subsoil. This helps with drainage, whilst also having a very good ability to retain moisture. The vineyards are an average age of 8 years. Production was just 2 t/ha.

A firm Kwoff favourite, great with Grilled red meats, posh burgers, and hearty casseroles.
