The monastery at Kloster Eberbach (Rheingau) was established by Cistercian monks from Burgundy in 1136, bringing with them vines, expertise and laying the foundation for Pinot Noir production in Germany. Today the estate, managed by Dieter Greiner covers 200 hectares (150ha Riesling / 30ha Pinot Noir) and as a founding member of the VDP (Germany's finest estates) it’s acclaimed by journalists worldwide!
Kloster Eberbach Estate Riesling Trocken wine is a classic and finely balanced Riesling from this renowned Rheingau estate. Gently floral aromas with a touch of aromatic spice, stone fruit and ripe pear on the palate with bright, well-integrated limey acidity. Great with seafood, pork or perhaps fondue!
