Il Cascinone was acquired by leading Piemonte producer Araldica in 1999 - an exceptional estate in the Monferrato hills which has undergone extensive restoration and replanting. The 'Il Cascinone' range is produced with grapes sourced from Araldica’s most prized vineyards, both on the estate itself and from other selected sites. The Araldica winemaking team of Claudio Manera, Lella Burdese and Carlo Manera oversee all production.

Leccio Monferrato Chiaretto is a gentle, softly fruity rosé made mainly from Pinot Noir sourced from the La Quercia vineyard. This is distinguished by a large, solitary oak tree of the Leccio (Holm Oak) species which gives its name to the wine. Holm oaks are often found in Piemonte truffle orchards - the truffles grow around the trees' roots. An appealing pale, coral pink - the nose has pretty red berry, strawberry and gently floral notes. The palate balances delicate bitter cherry and redcurrant fruit with crisp, incisive acidity - a refreshing style of rosé with texture and minerality. A good match with basil and goats cheese risotto, or pasta with a seafood sauce and cherry tomatoes.
