Bischofliche Kaseler Riesling Kabinett Trocken (6 Bottle Case)
This product is currently sold out.
This wine is like an opulent basket of fruit aromas and characters - backed by lingering minerality!
The Riesling grapes are sourced from vineyard sites near the village of Kasel in the Ruwer valley - characterised by loose slate soils. They are hand-picked, undergo selection, and then are fermented in small stainless steel tanks. The wine rests for a few months on its fine lees, before bottling the spring following the harvest.
Bischofliche Kaseler Riesling Kabinett Trocken has vibrant aromas of peach and citrus, with a bright and zesty palate of lime and grapefruit notes - supported by mineral characters and a lengthy finish. Has the potential to age over several years.
We suggest paired with lightly spiced Asian cusine - perhaps pork or fish dishes.
Please note that all case deals can take between 7-10 days for delivery.

Bischöfliche Kaseler Riesling Kabinett Trocken 2020*: ” …exhibits a clear, bright, fresh and pure, spicy-mineral as well as herbal/floral nose that is more stony than fruity and represents a classic Riesling Kabinett from the Ruwer. Filigreed, refined and very elegant on the palate, this is a delicate but also remarkably tight, intense and characterful, mineral-driven Kabinett with perfect roundness and Ruwer finesse. 91pts.” Stephan Reinhardt, The Wine Advocate (December 2021)
