Impeccable spätlese from the ancient walled Steinberg vineyard.
The Steinberg vineyard is closely associated with the Kloster Eberbach monastery. In the early 13th century they built a wall around the area - creating a perfect microclimate. This wall was extended in 1766. The vineyard soil is very deep with quartz stones and slate. The wall serves to protect the vines from the cold air of the Taunus valley.
Kloster Eberbach Crescentia Steinberger Riesling Spatlese has intense floral, honeysuckle aromas with a touch of citrus and some evolved Riesling characters. The palate is pure and focused with ripe, honeyed fruit flavours, and bright citrus acidity balancing the luscious sweet palate.
Perfect with desserts and cheese.
