Established in 1952, Champagne Serveaux is located in the Marne river valley and this family vineyard is now run by three siblings Hugo, Elodie and Nicolas who are the 3rd generation of winemakers and firmly fixed on moving their Domaine forward.

Champagne Serveaux Meunier d’Antan Extra Brut wine is a rich, intense 100% Pinot Meunier champagne produced from 50 year old vines

Translating rather poetically as "Meunier of Yesteryear" this is one of the "Terroir" based cuvées created from 50-55 year old vines by the current 3rd generation custodians of the Domaine. This 100% Pinot Meunier cuvée is made with reserve wines taken from 2014 (50%) and 2013 (50%). The 2014 is traditionally vinified in stainless steel tanks and the 2013 was vinified in oak barrels for 6-7 months before blending. No malolactic fermentation was allowed to happen which helps the wine to maintain the brightness of the Meunier. It is then bottled and left on the lees for about 36 months - far longer than appellation rules dictate for a non-vintage champagne. Dosage is very low at 3g per litre as the Serveaux siblings have found that these older vines producer inherently richer wines that don't need as much sugar to adjust the acidity.

Champagne Serveaux Meunier d’Antan Extra Brut wine has wonderful aromas of fresh pear, green tea and sweet brioche, bolstered by robust biscuit and toast flavours and an intensely rounded palate. Creamy and rich with a long finish.
