The La Dama vineyards are situated in the best commune of Valpolicella, where they make beautifully-modern and pure styles of Valpolicella Classico.
Only the most sparse, ripe and best exposed to the sun bunches of Corvina 70%, Corvinone 10%, Rondinella 15% and Molinara 5% grapes are selected and placed in 6 kg boxes in natural drying rooms to dry for about 100 days. In January, when all the aromas are concentrated the pressing takes place partly in steel vats and partly in wood. The maceration is very long, up to 30/40 days, after which it matures for 36 months. The wine then ages in the bottle for at least 1 year before release.
La Dama Amarone della Valpolicella Classico wine is an excellent traditional style Amarone with a lengthy taste that is warm, full and vigorous. It has a complex aroma of liquor cherries, dried plums, spices and tobacco.
