Orfeo is an Apulian red wine from the Paolo Leo winery made from Negroamaro grapes. Negroamaro is considered the most famous of Salento's native grape varieties, which tells the story of Salento's identity through its structure, persistence and charm. Its decisive and rustic character makes it a red wine with a persuasive sip.
Paolo Leo Orfeo Negroamaro is a ruby red colour with garnet highlights. The nose is broad and elegant. Spicy notes fade into jammy fruits. Orange peels dipped in dark chocolate are a more than surprising treat. Blackberries, mulberries and raspberries are a juicy, summery touch. The finish is reminiscent of cocoa with small notes of cappuccino. The sip is decidedly rich and full. The tannin, particularly soft and enveloping, creates a balance of the senses in perfect harmony. From the long and persistent finish it masterfully satisfies all the senses.
We recommend you pair with medium and high seasoning cheese, baked pasta, game ragout, smoked and spiced meats.
