Il Cascinone was acquired by leading Piemonte producer Araldica in 1999 - an exceptional estate in the Monferrato hills which has undergone extensive restoration and replanting. The 'Il Cascinone' range is produced with grapes sourced from Araldica’s most prized vineyards, both on the estate itself and from other selected sites. The Araldica winemaking team of Claudio Manera, Lella Burdese and Carlo Manera oversee all production.
Crocera Barbera d’Asti Superiore wine is a classic barrique-aged Barbera from 6 hectares of vines on the Il Cascinone estate. Aromas of intense ripe damson and black cherry with a hint of spice. Ripe and generous on the palate, robust and full-flavoured with intense plum and sour cherry fruit, balanced by tangy, juicy acidity. Pair with duck in plum sauce or rich beef stews, cassoulet or even belly of pork.
