An impressively fine, complex, high-altitude Chardonnay from Cavit's prized Maso Toresella vineyard in the foothills of the Dolomites.
The Chardonnay grapes are sourced from Maso Toresella in Valle dei Laghi. The grapes are harvested by hand, then undergo selection, and are gently pressed. After a period of skin contact (10 hours), the must is fermented in oak barriques, where the wine is then left to mature for 6 months. After bottling the wine is refined in the bottle for a further 6 months.
Maso Toresella Trentino Chardonnay has a fresh and vibrant nose with notes of lemon zest, Cox's apple and lightly toasty, savoury notes. On the palate there are complex citrus and stone fruit characters, and fine well-integrated spicy oak, balanced by fresh and crisp acidity. All leading to an appealing, lingering finish.
We recommend you pair with baked or grilled fish dishes - such as swordfish with capers and cherry tomatoes, or red snapper baked in foil.
