Pisano Family Wines is nestled in Progreso, 45 minutes uphill from Montevideo, some 20km from the broadest point of the Rio del Plata estuary before it meets the chill of the South Atlantic. The Pisano family share an Italian and Basque heritage and this family-run estate traces its roots back to 1914, when Italian immigrant, Don Césare Secundino Pisano, moved to Progreso and planted vineyards there. Today, the fourth generation of Pisano’s, brothers Daniel, Eduardo, and Gustavo, keep tradition alive. Their mission? To craft wines that are not merely good, but distinctly expressive, shaped by a century‑old Italian‑Basque heritage, and delivered with unmistakable Uruguayan soul.

Cisplatino refers to the area located "on this side" of the Río de la Plata and the Pisano brothers showcase the unique identity of Uruguayan wines with this range focused on freshness and fruit expression. Perfumed, lifted and bright, this is juicy bright Tannat.

Pisano Cisplatino Tannat vines are grown in the clay- calcareous soils of Progreso. Perfumed, lifted and bright, this juicy Tannat is dark but ruby-red alive with plummy joy, walnuts, spices, and young mushrooms. The palate has a smooth structure, with good density, with soft smoky aromas of blueberries, blackberries, and raisins. A clear, unadorned expression shaped by precise cellar work. Aged for 3 to 4 months in French oak barrels. Perfect with all meats, especially lamb, pasta, and mild cheeses. Very good with Uruguayan empanadas and pastries.

Wine ordered by the case can take 7-10 days for delivery.
