Château Haut-Marbuzet, Saint-Estèphe (6 Bottle Case)
This product is currently sold out.
In 1952, Hervé Dubosq whose family were from Gascony, had the foresight to take on 7 hectares of land in St.Estèphe in the north of the Médoc from the McCarthy family, one of the famous Irish ‘Wild Geese’ families who settled in Bordeaux in the 17th century.
Château Haut-Marbuzet, Saint-Estèphe wine is ripe and exotically aromatic. Classic old-school Bordeaux: autumnal, oaky aromas, black cherries and smoky coffee are enhanced further by rich sweet fruit with rich, spicy incense aromas. A beautiful drink to pair with strongly-flavoured dishes, beef or lamb stews come to mind but vegetable dishes in rich, reduced sauces would also be good, and perhaps a classic Toulouse or duck cassoulet.
