Château Lalande is made up from 55% Cabernet, 40% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc and is perfectly situated between Châteaux Talbot and Lagrange (classified in 1855 as fourth and third growths respectively). This enviable position elevates what is in fact a simple petite château to something quite special. Grapes are carefully harvested before being destemmed and crushed and transfered to temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. Fermentation lasts around 10-15 days, with 7 days maceration. The wine spends 12 months in oak, around 30% of which is new (depending upon the nature of the vintage).
Château Lalande, St Julien wine is a gutsy and full-bodied Claret offering exceptional value. A wine that possesses all the richness and power that you should expect from a classed St Julien estate but at half the price. Textbook pencil lead, tea chest nose with a well-structured palate of intense cassis fruit and fine-grained tannins. An absolute must with roast beef.
Please note: All case wine orders can take between 7-10 days for delivery.
