Tayac's vineyards cover an area of 37 hectares on the gravelly soils around Soussans. In the Portet family for 4 generations, this is very much a family affair. Guy Portet uses the Méthode Cousinié; this is a system of observation and analysis to maintain optimum vineyard health and balance with minimal treatments. Nicolas Portet is the winemaker; the wine style is harmonious and well-balanced allowing the excellent fruit quality to shine through.
Château Tayac, Margaux wine is a very expressive Bordeaux. Fresh and plummy, warm and soft with a good core of fruit, very polished and lots of potential with well-integrated oak on the finish. Pair with roast lamb served pink with herbs or rare sirloin steak.
