An 8 year old VSOP from Clos Martin. This was distilled from the Folle Blanche grape, which lends the spirit a delicate spiciness and elegant flavour profile. Clos Martin VSOP 8 Year Old offers a touch of ginger and violet, typical of sandy soils, some delicate oak and a little dried fruit on the nose. Some elegant fruit and a clean lively finish.
Nose: Rich cooked fruits and Black Forest honey. Notes of raisins, mixed peels and spicy oak. Fresh flowers too.
Palate: Honeyed, oily palate with more of those mixed peels, a little candied orange and spice.
Finish: Cooked fruit and oak.
