A more approachable Pommard than the single lieu-dit Noizons wine.
Made with 40% whole bunch ferment, from vines in both the Noizons and Petit Noizons plots planted between 1924 and 1997. The soil is reddish brown limestone with some ferrous oxide, which provides rich, aromatic wines that age well. The term "Noizons" refers to an an area originally planted with walnut trees.
Tasting notes
Dark, muscular, spicy berry fruit, with good tannic structure and nicely balanced.
Food match
Mushroom stroganoff, or a grilled rare-breed pork chop.
