Please note that as this wine is completely natural, with no added sulphites and no fining/filtering, there are lees and tartrates present in the bottle. They are completely harmless but you may need to decant the wine slowly.
This impressive blend has a lot to offer! Originating from a single plot in Bergheim, from dark chalky soils, hard calcareous subsoil and Oligocene marly subsoil. Deep, stony characteristics of the ground make their way through the layers of soil, to the vines and injects minerality into the wine.
Aromatic and youthful open nose. Fruity, smoky and peppery notes. Floral notes
and fresh bread flavours from its time on lees.
The palate is rich, mineral and fresh built on a bouquet of floral, mint, dried apricot and peach.
This would be perfect with Asian food, fish and white meats such as: poultry in sauce, pheasant and pork belly.
