Rooted in centuries of illicit distilling, Raasay provides the ingredients for the perfect dram. Every drop of spirit is distilled, matured and bottled on the island using water from the Raasay Distillery well.
Dùn Cana, named after one of Raasay’s most distinctive flat-topped volcanic features, is crafted from peated and unpeated spirit. It first matures in American rye casks before undergoing a second maturation in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry quarter casks, creating a complex and layered whisky. One of only 15,000 bottles worldwide.
This whisky exudes peppery spice, dried sultanas and hints of vanilla with a finish of lingering salty chocolate and a light hint of aromatic wood smoke.
