The monastery at Kloster Eberbach (Rheingau) was established by Cistercian monks from Burgundy in 1136, bringing with them vines, expertise and laying the foundation for Pinot Noir production in Germany. Today the estate, managed by Dieter Greiner covers 200 hectares (150ha Riesling / 30ha Pinot Noir) and as a founding member of the VDP (Germany's finest estates) it’s acclaimed by journalists worldwide.
Kloster Eberbach ‘Crescentia’ Neroberg Dry Riesling wine is a superlative Riesling from the steep volcanic slopes of the Neroberg vineyard, in the heart of the famous Rheingau. Intense and expressive nose packed with honeysuckle and ripe citrus notes; now also starting to show some interest due to evolution. Full ripe fruit characters on the palate with flinty minerality combining with orchard fruit and citrus. Mouth-watering acidity and incredible length. Perfect with lightly fragrant Thai dishes, simply grilled fish or white meat.
