The monastery at Kloster Eberbach (Rheingau) was established by Cistercian monks from Burgundy in 1136, bringing with them vines, expertise and laying the foundation for Pinot Noir production in Germany. Today the estate, managed by Dieter Greiner covers 200 hectares (150ha Riesling / 30ha Pinot Noir) and as a founding member of the VDP (Germany's finest estates) it’s acclaimed by journalists worldwide!
Kloster Eberbach ‘Crescentia’ Steinberger Riesling Spätlese wine is an impeccable spätlese from the ancient walled Steinberg vineyard. Intense floral, honeysuckle aromas with a touch of citrus and some evolved Riesling characters. The palate is pure and focused with ripe, honeyed fruit flavours, and bright citrus acidity balancing the luscious sweet palate. Perfect with desserts and cheese.
