In August 1982, late founder Tony Allen opened Oak Brewery on an industrial estate in Ellesmere Port. After much success, he moved nine years later to a location more central to his trading areas. Phoenix Brewery, Heywood!
Phoenix Brewery was registered in 1874, brewing directly from the Brewery tower and owning over 100 pubs in the local area. Phoenix’s history is still proudly displayed on their seven-story tower.
