A sweet and creamy Speyside single malt from Tomintoul that was initially matured in ex-bourbon barrels, before being finished in specially-selected Cognac casks. Aromas of chestnuts, lemon rind, blossom honey, amaretti biscuits and chamomile fill the nose, complemented by notes of choux pastry, Chantilly cream, butterscotch, sugared almonds, golden raisins, ginger and tobacco throughout the palate.
TASTING NOTES
Nose - Light and lifted with aromas of chestnut, lemon rind, blossom honey and amaretti biscuits with hints of chamomile and fennel.
Palate - Sweet choux pastry and Chantilly cream mingled with sugared almonds, butterscotch, golden raisins and rolling tobacco.
Finish - Layers of white chocolate, panettoni and nutmeg fading into warming ginger spices.
