Clos de la Cure is a very classy Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. Incredibly powerful, this Saint Emilion has a rich nose of ripe blackcurrants and chocolate. The plush, ripe body features tastes of juicy, figgy red and black fruits with some drier, tougher cedary streaks on the palate and lovely grippy tannins. Young still, but quietly classy and a versatile food match, though particularly good with a rack of lamb or strong cheeses. This is also a wine that is going to get better and better with age, so if you are looking for something to lie down for a few years, Clos de la Cure is a great choice.
